Legal Assistant
The Legal Assistant performs all clerical and administrative office tasks for the legal team currently consisting of three in-house attorneys in coordination with a multitude of outside counsel. The assistant will be expected to organize and maintain digital files, prepare various legal and non-legal documents in both Word and Adobe, and other administrative tasks as necessary.
The ideal candidate has some legal administrative experience in a legal department or law firm, with a focus on corporate transactions, real estate transactions, and/or insurance claims. Above all, they must have a pleasant and courteous personality, administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Assisting the Company’s legal department with any and all administrative tasks
- Preparing and organizing various legal and non-legal documents
- Handling and organizing both incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist the legal department with insurance claims and discovery requests
- Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel
- Manages communication, such as phone calls and messages for the department
- Provides clerical support, such as typing, filing, copying, data entry, and record keeping
- Setting up claims and corporate folders in OneDrive
- Organizing and managing OneDrive folders
- Assisting with commercial real estate transaction paperwork, transaction types including purchases, sales, leases, and development, and tasks including due diligence vendor management, real estate financing, title review, and closing documents preparation
- Assisting in managing commercial lease portfolio and deadline management
- Assisting in corporate governance tasks including preparation of resolutions and state filings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Legal administrative experience preferred
- Real estate and/or insurance experience is a plus
- E-discovery experience a plus
- Dealership experience a plus
- Highly professional and dependable
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Productive with minimal supervision
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Adobe.
