Vehicle Delivery Coordinator
The successful candidate will coordinate with the Sales Department to prioritize and manage the delivery of sold vehicles each day. He/She will gain familiarity with all processes and paperwork necessary to complete a vehicle sales transaction. The Delivery Coordinator must be able to explain delivery paperwork to customers and is to answer all questions from them including the availability, cost, and benefit of aftermarket products. The successful candidate will introduce customers to the services provided by our Service Department and go over the operational features of the vehicle that is being delivered. He/She continuously contributes to a positive and encouraging atmosphere, where the readiness to help is necessary to assist customers and fellow associates in the delivery of our products and services.
Maintains a strong knowledge base of all vehicle makes and models, with ability to effectively present and deliver products to customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Compares serial numbers of vehicle being delivered against appropriate paperwork and ensures vehicle is in “ready to deliver” condition to include and recording any damage, lists missing items and verifies the presence of accessories listed on the invoice.
2. Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
3. Educates customer(s) by explaining simple procedures and features of the vehicle; assists with pairing phones; training garage door openers; reviewing navigation and key fobs.
4. Introduces customers to service department staff to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership. Assists with scheduling of first service appointment.
5. Follows up on all post delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
1. Handles customer concerns or complaints immediately and within dealership guidelines.
2. Assists management and sales staff in maintaining long term customer relationships.
HOUSEKEEPING
1. Ensures delivery areas, show floor, lot and other work areas meet Lexus and dealership standards.
2. Maintains a professional appearance within dealership guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. At least three years related customer service, sales or automotive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.
2. Strong working knowledge of personal device technology with ability to integrate and effectively communicate in user friendly terminology using effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and computer skills.
3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
4. Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record and at least age 18 years of age required to drive company or customer vehicles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel and crouch.
2. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
4. Must be able to work a consistent and predictable schedule as determined by management and business conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.
2. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
