What You'll Do
- Source and acquire quality pre-owned inventory through auctions, trades, and private purchases.
- Accurately appraise trade-ins while protecting dealership profitability.
- Develop pricing strategies that keep inventory competitive and maximize gross.
- Manage inventory levels, aging, and merchandising to ensure vehicles are market-ready.
- Partner with the sales team to drive used vehicle sales and profitability.
- Analyze market trends and adjust inventory and pricing accordingly.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance goals.
- Maintain exceptional standards for vehicle presentation and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Used Car Manager or Assistant Used Car Manager in a franchised dealership.
- Strong appraisal and inventory management skills.
- Proven history of increasing used vehicle sales and profitability.
- Excellent negotiation and purchasing abilities.
- Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical skills.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with vAuto, Dealertrack, or similar inventory management software is a plus.
- A positive, professional attitude with a passion for developing people and delivering results.
