Used Car Buyer – Kia of Irvine

Kia of Irvine is growing, and we're looking for a driven and experienced Used Car Buyer to join our team! If you have a passion for the automotive industry, strong negotiation skills, and an eye for vehicle value, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and purchase high-quality used vehicles for our inventory through auctions, trade-ins, and private sellers.
- Perform accurate vehicle appraisals and determine market values based on current demand, condition, and reconditioning costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with auction reps, wholesalers, and other industry contacts.
- Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions that support inventory turn and profitability goals.
- Coordinate with the reconditioning and sales teams to ensure inventory readiness.
- Maintain detailed purchase records and inventory logs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Used Car Buyer or in automotive purchasing/appraising required.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, market values, and industry trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Familiarity with auction platforms like Manheim and ACV is a plus.
