The Automotive Painter Prepper will assist the painter with prep, mask, and match color vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. The Paint Prepper plays a key role in delivering our promise of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/DUTIES:
- Check body work and primer repair areas.
- Prepare vehicles for paint application.
- Communicate directly with the Estimator or painter on any parts and additional supplies needed.
- Maintenance of the Spray Booth, mixing room, compressors, and dryers.
- Keep company in good standing with EPA standards.
- Keeps personal work area organized.
- Buff refinished vehicles.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of manufacturers’ repair processes.
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Extended periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment, including respirator.
