Experienced Front-Wheel Drive Transmission Technician
Certified Service Technician – Krieger Ford
Krieger Ford is seeking a skilled and certified Experienced Front-Wheel Drive Transmission Technician to join our growing service team. This technician will focus primarily on diagnosing, servicing, and repairing front-wheel drive transmissions while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers have come to expect.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul front-wheel drive transmissions and related systems.
- Perform work as indicated on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Conduct test drives and use diagnostic tools to identify issues and verify repairs.
- Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify and recommend additional service needs.
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors to ensure customer transparency and satisfaction.
- Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing front-wheel drive transmission systems.
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle technology and systems.
- Ability to use advanced diagnostic and service equipment.
- Dependable with excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and commitment to quality work.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Service Technician, with specific experience in front-wheel drive transmission work preferred.
- Ford or ASE Certifications are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of working an 8-hour shift on your feet.
