Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Dealership Assistant Office Manager with strong accounting and management experience. Automotive industry experience preferred.  This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who wants to push their career to the next level. 

This position consults and works with the General and Department Managers at the dealership to identify operational opportunities and implement revenue generating and cost saving initiatives.

Our Dealership Assistant Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring all store transactions are processed accurately and timely.

To be successful in this position, you must be well-versed in all facets of accounting, cost control, collections, and margin expansion and financial controls. You must possess proven leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on communication and customer relations.

Job Requirements:

Duties include, but not limited to:

-Reports directly to the Office Manager/Controller

-Overseeing the accounting office

-Assisting with breaking down deals

-Assisting with posting lease-retail-wholesale deals

-Processing trade payoffs

-Daily deposits

-Bank reconciliations

-Reconciling and maintaining accurate accounting schedules

-Processing aftermarket warranties & submitting payments to appropriate vendors

-Maintains accounts payables/account receivables

-Ensure all store financial transactions are process timely and accurately in accordance with company policy

-Administers and ensures established policies/procedures are followed

-Manage & train office staff as needed

-Handle floorplan audits

-Assists Office Manager/Controller in all audits and aspects of compliance

-Keeps Office Manager/Controller informed of any key issues relating to the financial activities & accounting staff

-Assists with inquiries from the Office Manager/Controller and upper management on a wide range of financial results, special reporting requests, etc

-Provide accounting assistance to all departments

-Assists with end of month reports and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-High School Diploma or equivalent

-2-3 years of prior dealership office management experience preferred

-Reynolds & Reynolds Ignite experience preferred

-MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook experience preferred

-Working knowledge of a dealership financial statement

-Working knowledge of multiple accounting office positions

-Ability to read & comprehend instructions and information

-Excellent communication skills

-Strong management/supervisory skills for managing office staff

-Team player

-Ability to work and complete tasks in a timely manner with little to no supervision

-Detail oriented with strong accuracy skills

-Displays honesty and integrity

-Must have a can-do, positive, helpful & encouraging attitude

-Highly organized multi-tasker who works well in a fast-paced environment

-Solid time management skills & the ability to prioritize

-Able to deal with confidential information appropriately

-Strong problem solving & analytical skills

-Superior follow-up skills
