Business Office Clerk / DMV Clerk – Automotive Dealership

High Desert Ford is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Business Office Clerk / DMV Clerk to join our growing dealership. Primary Responsibilities
- Process DMV paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit vehicle registration, title, and lien documentation.
- Assist with dealer trades, wholesale transactions, vehicle inventory transfers, and related documentation.
- Verify vehicle deals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assist with contracts, funding paperwork, and other Business Office functions.
- Maintain dealership records and filing systems.
- Communicate professionally with customers, lenders, DMV personnel, and dealership staff.
- Ensure all documentation complies with state, federal, and dealership requirements.
- Balance high-volume paperwork while meeting deadlines.
- Provide administrative support to the Controller and Business Office staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Business Office

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous automotive dealership Business Office and/or DMV experience is required.
- Knowledge of DMV title, registration, and licensing procedures.
- Experience with dealer trades, wholesale transactions, and vehicle inventory transfers preferred.
- Ability to balance a high volume of paperwork with exceptional accuracy.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fast learner who is adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with dealership management software is a plus.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and other pre-employment screenings.
