Job Description
Victory Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to join the team at our corporate office, located in Canton, Michigan. This position will manage our HRIS/benefit administration system to ensure it meets the needs of the Company in managing benefit plans that help facilitate a positive working environment for our employees in various locations around the country.
The Benefits Administrator will answer employee questions and be a liaison to insurance providers and third-party administrators in delivering our competitive benefit plans for all our employees throughout the country. General knowledge of employee labor, leave, benefits plans, retirement COBRA, healthcare and other benefits is a must.
He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, professional demeanor, administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental, vision, life, accident, disability, and 401(k)
- Process benefits enrollments and changes related to health insurance, life, disability, and ancillary benefit plans offered
- Processes funding and contributions for the 401(k) and Health Savings Account
- Enters 401(k) deferral and loan enrollments and changes
- Ensures accuracy of data eligibility files to vendors
- Audit benefits information uploaded into the HRIS system on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and integrity of employee and enrollment data
- Assists controllers and employees with health and welfare benefit questions and inquiries
- Assists in developing, recommending, and implementing approved, new, or modified plans
- Allocates group insurance costs and processes monthly insurance invoices
- Create and mail benefits termination packets to recently separated employees
- Understand COBRA eligibility requirements and process COBRA activities with outside 3rd party COBRA administrators, as needed
- Assists with the coordination and administration of annual open enrollment
- Assists with annual ACA reporting, and other benefits/401(K) audits
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Provide support to Human Resources and Payroll, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field AND 3 years of equivalent experience in Benefits Administration
- General knowledge of health and welfare benefit plans and administration. Familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations related to various HR requirements, particularly with those related to health and welfare plans
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees within the organization, outside vendors, and third-party administrators
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity with employee data is required
- Positive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and business acumen
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Renyolds & Renyolds and ADP experience a plus
