Key Responsibilities: As a Barback at Seed to Table, you'll be responsible for:
- Ensure the bar area is impeccably set up before service, including stocking liquor, glassware, and other supplies. After closing, assist in the efficient breakdown and cleaning of the bar area.
- Maintain clean and polished glassware, ensuring that each glass is spotless and ready for use.
- Support bartenders during busy periods by fetching and opening bottles and ensuring they have all necessary tools and ingredients.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer requests.
- Dispose of waste and empty glassware promptly, keeping the bar area clean and presentable at all times.
- Execute regular cleaning tasks to uphold high sanitation standards, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning spills, and ensuring the bar area remains tidy.
- Execute assigned tasks with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment by efficiently managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and adapting to changing demands.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should have:
- The ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy kegs, cases of liquor, and other supplies.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure that glassware, utensils, and other bar items are clean, polished, and well-presented contributing to the overall aesthetic of the establishment.
- Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage tasks such as restocking and maintaining cleanliness.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and other team members.
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Familiarity with various bar tools and equipment, as well as an eagerness to learn and adapt to the specific equipment used.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify and address tasks without constant supervision.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Fluency in English is essential, with Spanish language skills considered a valuable asset.
- Non-slip shoes are mandatory to ensure the safety of both you and our guests.
- You are legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Previous experience in barback or similar role preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

- Strength: Regularly, you are required to lift and move objects. This includes lifting items such as kegs, cases of liquor, and crates of glassware at or above waist level and at or below waist level.
- Endurance: Your physical endurance allows you to perform at your best during extended periods, ensuring guests receive the highest quality service. You may need to stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods without compromising the quality of service.
- Acute Senses: Your acute listening, dexterity, visual acuity skills, and hearing enable you to pay attention to every detail, maintain effective communication, and provide remarkable guest service.
