Automotive Service Technician
Customer satisfaction is driven by your personal work habits and professional ethics, and it is a critical component of this role.
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for setting personal performance goals focused on service improvement and tracking progress against customer satisfaction index (CSI) scores and productivity targets provided by the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest technical and administrative tools

Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all customer interactions

Act as a secondary greeter on the Service Drive, acknowledging customers who have not yet been assisted
-
Stay current with technical publications, Service Communications (Service Comm), and ASIST terminal operations
-
Ensure all vehicle services are completed safely, ethically, and correctly the first time
-
Address all original customer concerns before recommending additional services
-
Inspect vehicles for additional service opportunities in line with manufacturer and local maintenance guidelines

Return each vehicle in the same or better condition of cleanliness as when received
-
Participate in all required factory and in-house training programs

Complete all repair orders and documentation accurately, ensuring required forms are attached

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader

Maintain punctuality, readiness to work, and a clean, professional appearance at all times
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:

Experience performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services on a variety of vehicle makes and models

A proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals

Strong communication skills

A professional appearance and strong work ethic

A positive, high-energy attitude

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to read and interpret instructions accurately

Sound judgment and decision-making abilities

A valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
Education & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Demonstrated technical aptitude, preferably with ASE certification

Technical or trade school degree preferred
