Position Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician at LaFontaine Honda, you will perform vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards. This role welcomes experienced technicians, trainees, and apprentices seeking career growth and competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review repair orders and perform assigned work efficiently and accurately
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform authorized repairs
  • Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain necessary parts
  • Properly tag, save, and submit parts as required for warranty or customer requests
  • Communicate promptly with service advisors about any additional repairs or delays
  • Document all work performed and conduct road tests to verify repairs
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets dealership and factory standards
  • Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins
  • Maintain clean work areas and vehicles
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping policies, and regulatory requirements

Work Schedule

Work hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear as needed

Job Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Michigan Mechanic Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions
