Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance tasks in accordance with dealership and factory standards. This role is open to Technicians, Trainees, and Apprentices who are eager to grow in a rewarding environment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive repair orders from dispatcher and prepare work area.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform authorized repairs.
  • Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Tag, save, and return parts as required for warranty or customer requests.
  • Communicate promptly with service advisors regarding additional work or delays.
  • Document work performed and adhere to quality standards.
  • Conduct road tests to ensure repairs resolve customer concerns.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and adhere to safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to service repair work.

Work Environment

This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical demands include occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Michigan Mechanic Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and information.

  • Ability to meet production and quality standards.
