AUTOMOTIVE PARTS SPECIALIST

THE POSITION: The Parts Specialist sells parts to all available customers over the counter, through the shop or on the telephone.

Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in parts management, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment components.
- Ability to read parts diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer catalogs.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Ford or Lincoln Parts Counter Expierence
- OSW and Reynolds knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- One year in a vehicle parts department preferred.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications:
- Assist service technicians in identifying correct parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Research parts using manufacturer catalogs, diagrams, and electronic databases.
- Process parts requests, orders, returns, and warranty claims.
- Maintain inventory levels through regular stock monitoring and replenishment.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts shipments.
- Issue parts to technicians and accurately document transactions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source hard-to-find or emergency parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within company software systems.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of parts and materials.
- Monitor backorders and communicate status updates to technicians and management.
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms, take and hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
