Automotive Detailer / Prep Technician
Krieger Ford is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer / Prep Technician to join our team. If you take pride in keeping vehicles clean, presentation-ready, and customer-ready, we want to hear from you.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in auto detailing, vehicle prep, car wash and detail services, dealership lot and vehicle preparation, or automotive reconditioning who wants to grow with a family-owned dealership.
Job Summary
The Automotive Detailer / Prep Technician is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles for delivery, display, and customer pickup. This position plays an important role in ensuring vehicles are presented in top condition while supporting the overall flow of the dealership.
The right candidate will be reliable, able to work efficiently, pay close attention to detail, and take pride in delivering clean, polished, and well-presented vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and detail new, used, and customer vehicles
- Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors
- Clean windows, mirrors, tires, wheels, and exterior surfaces
- Prepare vehicles for front-line display and customer delivery
- Move vehicles as needed throughout the dealership lot and service areas
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and presentation before delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep and detail area
- Assist in keeping vehicle inventory presentation-ready
- Support multiple departments as needed with vehicle preparation
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for cleaning products and equipment
- Work efficiently to meet daily vehicle prep and detailing needs
- Take pride in producing high-quality work and helping create a positive customer impression
Schedule
Monday through Friday with some Saturdays required. Exact daily hours will be discussed during the interview.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous automotive detailing, vehicle prep, lot attendant, or car wash/detail experience preferred, but not required
- Dealership experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday
- Must be able to get in and out of vehicles repeatedly
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Must be able to lift and move detailing supplies and equipment as needed
