Job Title: AP Clerk -Data Entry, Naples, FL

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

The premier grocery store in Naples, FL and frequently described “happiest place in the universe” is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. The ideal candidate for this position will utilize their years of experience in making critical, timely decisions that optimize the efficiency and efficacy of our Accounts Payable department. This position is a support function within the overall finance department and is responsible for collecting, comparing vendor invoices to issued purchase orders, ensuring proper payments are made to suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities:

Obtains supplier invoices, receiving documents and other supporting documentation, then examines, codes appropriately, and posts to the accounting system
Handles all supplier A/P queries and follow up
Coordinate and resolve with receivers and department heads all cost discrepancies and tracks cost change and provides analytical analysis of such
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues in a timely and professional manner
Prepares hand checks as needed
Prepare AP aging listing with notes for management.

Experience:

2+ years of Accounts Payable Experience, preferably in transactional accounting
Intermediate and above skill level in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
Bachelors or Associates degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred.

Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise is required
Proficient in computer skills, primarily Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong Verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the data
Ensures proper coding of supplier invoices, credits, discrepancies, and payments.
Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Ability to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk and hear.
Required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit.
This position requires specific vision abilities which includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to read text that is close and at a distance with or without corrective lenses
Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
Reliable transportation is a must.
