Job Description

The Dealership Accounting Clerk ensures the validity and accuracy of accounting functions on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. He or she works to ensure a timely transfer of all information that affects accounting and payroll. In addition, this person provides administrative support such as answering phones, typing, filing, data entry and record keeping, and other duties as assigned. 

It is helpful that the ideal candidate has dealership experience with an emphasis on office functions.  He or she must be detail-oriented and good with numbers and skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). In addition, he or she must have an understanding of basic accounting procedures, have accurate data entry skills and have the ability to use an automated accounting system. Will need to reconcile statements and ensure payments are consistent with set schedules.

  • Reconciles statement and ledger and ensures payments are consistent with set schedules
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
